Mission: Fostering support for students and programs by promoting creativity, innovation and excellence in partnership with Port Angeles public schools.
Vision: All students have full access, free of barriers, to reach their full potential.
Port Angeles Education Foundation: The Port Angeles School District encompasses 347 square miles of the Olympic Peninsula and draws its 3,700 students and 500 staff from a population of 28,000. The Port Angeles Education Foundation was formed in 1991 as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization comprised of community volunteers that strive to meet the growing challenges to public education not met through traditional sources of funding.
The Foundation awards scholarships, allocates grants to the schools for special projects, distributes funds to help needy students, and raises funds to further the organization’s purpose. It accepts restricted funds and manages endowment funds for the benefit of the schools and students. Our structure allows us to foster private/public partnerships between individuals, businesses, corporations and community groups looking for a tax-deductible way to help our local schools. Port Angeles Education Foundation funds do not support existing or mandated programs or staff salaries.
